We like boring

For most company websites, the technology should disappear into the background. We build static-first websites because they can be extremely fast, secure, portable and low-maintenance.

There is no reason to operate a database, a CMS core and a collection of plugins when the website does not actually need them. Fewer moving parts for us. Fewer dependencies for you.

    Pages can be served directly rather than assembled from a database on every visit.

    No CMS core and plugin collection requiring constant updates.

    Where practical, the site can live on infrastructure contracted directly by you.

Static is not right for everything, and we will say so. Applications, large e-commerce systems, complex user accounts and highly dynamic platforms may need a different architecture.

We build it so
you don't need us.

That might be an unusual promise for an agency. It shouldn't be.

When the project is finished, you receive the materials required to control what you paid for. Depending on the project, this can include website source code, design source files, logos and identity assets, font and asset licence information, domain access, hosting access, analytics and account access, documentation, and contractual transfer of applicable rights in original work created for you.

  • We don't register a client's domain in our own name.
  • We don't deliberately make websites dependent on an agency-only platform.
  • We don't keep source files as leverage for a maintenance contract.

After taking care of web and branding, it's time to take care of your intellectual property

Most branding projects eventually produce questions that aren't really design questions.
